iTunes Home Sharing Troubles Between iMac and Windows Laptop

I am trying to use Home Sharing between my iMac and a Windows Laptop.

I have setup home sharing on each computer, but for some reason i can only see shared icon in my iMac iTunes library.

On my Windows Latoptop the shared icon is not visible in the left hand pane.

I have tried Authorising both computers, deauthorising both computers. Turning on, then off home sharing on each computer.

I can still only see my laptops library on my imac. When i really want to see my iMac's libary on my laptop, as i am using my laptop for music at a party.

Has anybody had problems when tying to use Home Sharing between a Windows Computer and a Mac?

Check the firewall settings on the Windows machine. It sounds like you might have the necessary ports for Home Sharing blocked. Just enter an exception for iTunes in your Firewall's settings.
