iTunes - How to show artist during shuffle play?

Is there any way I can have iTunes display the current artist and/or album when the song changes during shuffle play? Currently, unless I manually click on a new track the view doesn't change.

(What was so wrong with Cover-flow that they had to discontinue it? I loved that.)
