Why doesn't the event structure carry over when you sync a photo album in iTunes?

For example, if you created a smart album containing all your "4+ Star" rated photos, you'll see the album on your iDevice, but no ability to break it down by "event". Making a smart album for each individual event is impossible these days if your library already contains 200+ albums and is constantly growing.

Same thing happens in Faces. Choose a bunch of faces you want to sync, and they'll sync, but with no organization beyond Faces. There's no way to see what event they came from.

By contrast, syncing MUSIC does carry over correctly. Let's say you sync a playlist containing your "4+ Star" rated songs. Once they sync, you're still able to sort by Artist, Album, Genre, etc. That information is preserved.

Seems like Photos should get up to speed with this functionality. Remember, if you choose to sync all EVENTS to your device, you get every single photo in that event, whether they're good or not. There's no way to "only sync 4+ star rated" photos.
