I've just got myself a Core 2 duo macbook. It's supurb should have switched ages ago.
One thing though importing cds in itunes the mac peaks at about 9x. The macbook spec runs rings round my old PC (Skt 939 AMD 3200 single core) but them PC imports cds at about 20x often quicker!
I have the settings the same on each machine with error correction off. I'd have thought with better spec and it being an apple using apple software my Mac would be quicker?
Is this purely down to drive speeds?
