iTunes in OSX opens when I open iTunes in Windows via Parallels

Does anyone know what triggers iTunes to open in OSX when I open iTunes in Windows under Parallels? For Parallels, I enabled the "Share Profile" option and therefore iTunes in both OS are sharing the same library.
