iTunes in the Status Bar?

I listen to my iTunes music almost all day long. I also heavily utilize Spaces with each application open nearly full screen and on its own desktop so I'm never actually on the space where iTunes is.

Is there anyway way for iTunes info to be displayed in the status bar so that no matter what desktop I'm using I can see what's playing, what the next song(s) might be, etc.

Trying out SmashTunes right now. So far so good but would be nice if the app had a live track time countdown rather than a static track length displayed. On the positive side, seems to support Yosemite dark mode which I also use.
