Itunes/Iphone help needed

Hello,

I put a song on iphone through itunes. I then clicked on the song and pressed "get info". I then added the artist to the song in both the info and sorting tab. On itunes it showed that change. However on my iphone it just shows the title of the song and does not list the artist under the song title.

I am able to change the song title to whatever I want and it will change on the iphone. But no matter what I type for the artist it will not show up.
