iTunes/iPod playlist import issues

Hello all,
I am looking for some guidance here.
I recently had to clear off my iPod and start anew.
I have the majority of my music files on my Wintel computer
because of the space but I also have files on my recently purchased
iBook. I have chosen to use the iBook as the main source for my
iPod and am able to just copy the songs I need from my Wintel
computer. My question is: how do I copy my playlists from my
Wintel computer on to my iPod? I can't seem to drag them over
to my iPod when it's plugged in and wanted to see if anybody else
has this issue.
