After adding the mp3s of a Boys II Men album to my iTunes collection, I noticed an odd phenomenon: their bit rate showed up as 32 kbps and their times registered in the 20-40 minute ranges--for each song
The songs are obviously not that long, nor are they the despicable bitrate of 32. The songs play in iTunes with high sound quality, and simply skip to the next track when they get to the real end of the song (even though the bar indicates lots of time left for the 30 minute song). Every other app (QT, RealPlayer) registers the proper time, and RP tells me 165kbps (constant).
I have the latest versions of Panther, QT, and iTunes (and no this problem did not just begin with iTunes 4.7)
Any ideas? Thanks!
