Itunes issue

Hi folks

Right well i can not edit any music on my itunes that is song title, album everything. All my music is on a ex-hdd and i have the latest version of itunes plus if needed i have os10.6

please help i can not put up with the 10 different ways the kinks is spelt on my ipod any longer!

yes, i only ever go on to itunes when it is connected

OS X can't write to NTFS, so that's most likely the problem. I believe that there's a third-party driver (Fuse 3G or something) but I've never tried it.

would explain some things if thats the case, what format is best for just storing music on

Are you going to be using the same drive with a Windows computer? If not, HFS+ is the best option. As far as I'm aware, you need to erase the drive in order to change the format.

the hdd will only be used on mac,

in disk utility i have these options to format to


mac os extended
mac os extended, journaled
mac os extended, case-sensitive
mac os extended, journaled, case-sensitive
