itunes just stops updating with out copying songs to my ipod. it'll just randomlly stop, then show the apple logo (on itunes) with nothing hapening. it doesn't even show a message saying that the ipod update is complete. the video won't transfer. i've trying re converting the video but no luck. any idea whats wrong. other videos transfer without problem.

my ipod is a 30gb 5G ipod formated to windows xp pro.

Wait, so is it just one file that's not transferring or is it a bunch of files? Have you tried The 5 Rs with the iPod? :)
theres 2 different videos that do it. everything else if fine. i havn't done the 5 r's though

If it's just the two videos then I reckon it's their fault rather than the iPods so I wouldn't bother with The 5 Rs. Why won't they reconvert? Are you getting an error message? :)

i delete the videos in question from my harddrive then i run the original file thru the converter again

Right-click on the iPod in the "source" menu and choose "reset warnings" - this will tell you if a video(s) have not been transferred to the iPod. If that's the case then you know it's a problem with the format of the video files rather than an iTunes/iPod issue.

:D

Okay, perhaps talk to the administrator of the site you got them from and ask if there are any known issues with their videos and iPods. Subtle hint: if they're not legitimate videos then there's not much that we can do for you, sorry.
