iTunes keeps opening and asking for password

In the last few days I've noticed that iTunes will not stop asking me for my password, making it pretty unusable. It also seems to crash quite often when I enter my password, and opens on its own.

I've applied the no play to open patch, as apparently a Wacom tablet can mess with it.

I've set Safari to never block cookies.

Also both my iPhone and iPad seem to be syncing a lot, and sometimes even when on 3G/not the same network.

Any ideas?
