I am having some strange behavior on my Early 2009 iMac with OS X 10.6. It seems that since the recent updates from Apple for iMovie and Performance enhancements, iTunes is starting all by itself randomly. Last night in the middle of the night iTunes was playing songs - creepy!

I do not have any widgets running for iTunes so I do not think Dashboard is the issue. Any thoughts on what could be causing this problem? I have restarted my Mac and it still was happening this morning...

Thanks!

Do you have any USB devices plugged into the computer - digital camera or your actual iPod? A dodgy USB connection could lead the computer to think it's just been inserted and so launch whatever app is associated with it...

The only devices attached are a Time Machine Backup, Apple Keyboard and a memory card reader with no memory card in it... No cameras, ipods, iPhones, etc... with media attached.
