I have had this problem for quite a while. One of those niggling issues that you never both to actually fix. Well now that I've been listening to Audible books more often, I'd really like to get it figured out. For some reason, whenever I sync my iPhone 3GS with iTunes running on Snow Leopard 10.6.2 my play marker (not sure of a better term for the spot in a track that you are current at) keeps getting reset. This isn't too big of a deal for ~40min podcasts but for a 4+ hour audio book, it's a huge PITA.
I'm sure there is some way of fixing this. Not everybody that listens to audio books makes sure that they check the exact location of where they are in the book before they sync their phones, right?
