iTunes/LaCie DVD Backup issue - Help!

I just bought a LaCie D2 DVD+-RW dvd Burner for my Mac Mini so I could primarily use it to backup my iTunes store purchases. I installed the latest LaCie drivers and iTunes recognizes it as my burner. After it checks the media and begins to burn the DVD (but not actually doing it,) I get the following error message: "The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occurred (-8785)."

Anyone run into this? What do I do? LaCie tech support has no answers so far.
