iTunes launch failure

iTunes will not launch on my PC. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall (all Apple programmes) several times. I also tried to download Quick Time alone (without iTunes) - and Quick Time would not launch either.

The iTunes error messages looks like this:

AppName: itunes.exe AppVer: 8.0.2.20 ModName: unknown
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: b984065e


Anyone experienced the same thing?
