Hi everyone,

I have a weird situation on iTunes sharing at home and wonder if anyone can help and give me an idea on how to troubleshoot this.

I have 2 Macs (an iMac and a MBP, both are OS 10.6.6) and one PC (A Sony laptop running Vista). All of them have the latest iTunes and QuickTime installed.

Since most of my Music/Movies and TV Shows are on the iMac, I share that library so that my other machines can access those contents through the wireless network, and so far my MBP has no issue whatsoever to see play any contents. However, here is the problem. On the PC, I cannot access SOME of the content.

Example, all of my music from the iMac can be access from the PC, no problem there, but on Movies or TV Shows, if the content was originated from iTunes, or from iMovie, I can access it, but if I manually create an .m4v video file and import to the iMac's iTunes library, it cannot be stream to my PC iTunes (My MBP don't have this problem), when I highlighted Video on my PC iTunes and click play, it will not do anything and a little while later I see "!" mark next to the number column. However if I take the same file, import it into iMovie, and then export it back to iTunes, it can be access on my PC.

I have tried manually bring the .m4v file to the PC and it can be play there successfully, so I'm not sure what's the problem is.

Anyone has any idea? I really hope I don't need to import/export all my videos to iMovie in order to resolve this problem.

Thanks in advance!

Ray
