i got a new computer is there any way i can transfer my library and all my playlist over to my new computer with out recreatign my playlist.

i have over 1000 playlist and that would be dreadful.

If the computers are both Macs, and you've let iTunes organize your music library, it should be as easy as copying the entire Music folder within your home folder into the analagous location on the new computer.

i did let itunes do it and i have a pc :(

is there a way i can do it on that?

I think all you have to do is copy the entire iTunes folder (the one that has an .xml file in the root of it, and an iTunes Library folder inside it) from the Windows computer to ~/music/ on your Mac. Do this while iTunes is NOT running on the Mac. If you find an iTunes folder there (and you didn't put any music in it yourself that you don't have in this copy), trash it first.

Then run iTunes.

That'll work. Just confirm 100% that iTunes is organising everything on the Windows machine, and that the folder it's using is in Mydocs\Mymusic\itunes
