I have had a very specific workflow for years; I dock my MacBook Pro at home, connect it to several displays, and when I need to travel I simply disconnect it from my gaggle of office equipment and hit the road.

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro (2016 15" with Touchbar) and since using it have found an extremely annoying -- nay, infuriating -- issue. I normally keep my iTunes library on an external drive; in my case this is a LaCie 6TB Thunderbolt Raid drive. On my old setup, once I disconnected and left the office, I was totally fine; I shut down the apps accessing the external and never had an issue. Lately, on the new machine, I find that iTunes pops up nearly every 2-3 minutes, telling me the library cannot be found. I quit the app again, disable iTunes Helper in activity monitor, but nothing I do stops this ridiculously annoying process from happening, leading to what I can only describe as pyschotic levels of frustration...

I'm looking for a way to disable this asinine reminder for good. Is there a terminal command that can be used to just shut it off once-and-for-all, or am I destined to continue having it completely interrupt my workflow? (It pisses me off that there is not a "Don't show this message again" checkbox available on this window, as there are on so many others -- I'm very confused by the omission.)
[doublepost=1492023433][/doublepost]This is actually a really simple issue: my big fat sausage fingers kept hitting the play button on the Touchbar, causing iTunes to try and open, hence the constant message. So this has become a different issue, and I'll try and resolve it outside of this thread. I hate this damn MacBook Pro!
