I am running iTunes 9.02 on an iMac. My songs are located in 2 different folder locations on my hard drive. About 2/3 of my songs and all new imported songs go to iTunes Music Folder. But, about 1/3 my songs are located in an older Folder on my hard drive, under a different path. iTunes recognizes these tunes are in this other location under a different path using Get Info, and many playlists are created that also recognize this other folder/path location.

If I consolidate this 1/3 of my Library into the location where the 2/3 lives and new songs go, will iTunes automatically update the library and the playlists?

It seems at some point in the past I must have Consolidated because many of the songs are in both places, but iTunes Windows only is showing the file in the old location and when i select an individual song from within a playlist, it also is only list the song in the older location.

I am wondering best way to get all songs into one location and have all songs recognized accordingly and playlists work correctly.

Many thanks in advance!
John
