I turned my Vista laptop on yesterday, opened iTunes and it said my library was corrupt and tried to restore an older version of my library, this version only had 2/3 of my music. Once I realised that I deleted it from the library and added the music in by hand. So now I've lost all my playlists, last played, play counts etc.

I haven't plugged my iPod back in since this happened, so is there a way I could grab all the data from my iPod when i plug it in? I really don't want to have to write the tags on all my videos again as it takes ages....

that really sucks. typical windows! it sounds like you have a new library file now, which means you could transfer purchases from your iPod, getting your old library back. plug it in and see what pops up, it won't erase anything from your iPod without asking first.
