Whenever i open iTunes, it gives me a message saying that my library is corrupt, and that it is creating a new library, the new library has nothing on it, so i must then copy all my music and movies back into itunes.

IT IS A PAIN!

how can i stop itunes from making more and more (damaged) libraries? i just want my old, "corrupted" one back!

much appreciation for your advice,

thanks,

different problem... uh oh!

i have already done this, and it did not work at all.

this is now what happens:

1. i will click on and open the itunes app

2. itunes starts up, but it acts like a brand new application, and does not save anything. however, i no longer get the error message claiming that my itunes library has been damaged.

3. I have tried deleting itunes from my computer and simply downloading a fresh copy of it, but that didnt help either.

im glad to still have my itunes media folder and all my music and movies though, that is very nice.

any advice on how to stop itunes from resetting everything on start-up?

my iTunes corrupts individual movies's when i add artwork, just freezes up and when i reopen itunes the movie i was changing is corrupt.

so what if some of my itunes media files are corrupt?
there should still be a way to keep all my files on one itunes library and not have it get damaged
