So i have used this guide before to copy your itunes library id from the itunes library files and replace the id on another mac with the same as mac 1 and it would allow you to sync and manually manage music etc on both macs without losing/erasing data when syncing.

My question is has anyone else done this? If so since upgrading to Itunes 10 have you got it working again?

I upgraded to itunes 10 and now it won't allow me to sync with two macs...

problem syncing with 2 machines w/ iTunes 10

I'm having the same problem. Since upgrading, it resets the Library Persistent <string> each time I relaunch. Any ideas? It seems to be finding the character string from somewhere else in iTunes and reassigning it every time.

Thanks in advance.
