Hi All,

I've recently noticed that not all my songs were on my iPhone checked the tick boxes and everything but i then noticed that not all the songs from albums were on my MacBook.

I think it may have been were I used to have an Window Laptop (which died) I then bought a MacBook Pro, but at the time wasn't able to transfer the backup from one to another, and as I didn't want to lose anything on my phone (as it was currently holding every song i've bought or downloaded) i used a 3rd part app to extract all the data from my phone to to my Mac were i then i was able to backup from scratch but with all the data i wanted.

Now I'd like to start from new again, if i was to delete my iTunes Library rip all the CD's plug my iPhone into my MacBook, I'm guessing and correct me if I'm wrong, it will advise me that all my current songs will be deleted and synced with this 'new library' to which it will then do so and at the same time download every song i've downloaded from iTunes correct?

Or is there an easier way, i have also done iTunes Match but on my current library, so i don't want to rip all the CD's and downloads just for iTunes match to double up on everything. So basically could i do the above and 'reset' iTunes Match to my potential new iTunes Library?

*EDIT* I also backup my partners iPhone so would doing the above interfer with any if her data?
Many Thanks
