Hey guys,

I'm toying with the idea of getting the 160GB iPod classic (wish it was the iPod touch with 160GB tho!) however my hard disk in my MBP is only 120GB. Is there any way or work around for me to keep my music on my MPB hard disk and have my movies stored on an external hard disk? Also will I need to have my external hard disk mounted everytime I sync the iPod in order for the songs/movies not to be removed from the iPod?

Thx for your help

Z

Yes, if you uncheck the Keep iTunes Music folder and Copy files to iTunes Music folder options you can store your music and video files anywhere you want to.

If you choose to manually sync your library to your iPod then your external will not need to be plugged in at the time. If you choose autosync then your external will probably need to be plugged in.
