iTunes library on a server

I have been tinkering with Xubuntu as a file server for about 2 weeks now and have made it a dedicated bitorrent box as well as making it a mac server with the help of (http://goo.gl/m33Za). my main goal with this little project is to keep the xubuntu box attached to the network and to be used as a dedicated bittorrent/file server for my network, which I have a house full of macs. That being so, I am going to be putting all my music onto this box with my external hdd's attached to it. would it be a good idea have the itunes library on this network drive? I appreciate the input and I didn't know where to post this thanks.
