Okay so I purchased a new Mac Mini a few months ago. I have my iTunes collection on an external HD, except my Apps, which were on the internal of my older Mac Mini. Currently running 10.8.

Looks likes this:

\external\itunes <---- EVERYTHING, except iOs Apps. Movies, ringtones, tv shows and podcasts have their own folders within the itunes folder, Music sits in the itunes folder segregated by artist and then album.

and

\user\music\itunes\mobile applications <---- iOs Apps.

This is how iTunes was set-up on the older mini. When I started using the new one, I moved EVERYTHING to the external so that it looked like the above except the iOs apps were here:

\external\itunes\mobile applications

iTunes would NOT allow those applications to be imported. It kept saying "Unknown Error (-50)". Per Apple KB, that is some sort of an internet connection error?!?

So I moved them back to the

\user\music\itunes\mobile applications

directory and everything works fine?!?

Would really love to get ALL iTunes library files on the external. Have NO IDEA what the heck iTunes is doing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.
