Hi

I've got the following setup:
1 central NAS (Buffalo)
my iMac where I sync my iPhone
my wife's i Mac where she synces her iPod Touch.
All connected wired through 1GB Network.

I would like to keep all music and apps on the NAS centrally so that all music added (1% from store, 99% ripped from CDs) and apps added will be available to both Macs and both devices.

Does that work at all (sharing apps?)?

After many trials I think I do have the central library for music working, but when 1 iMac has iTunes open, the other can't open iTunes due to "iTunes library already in use or no write-access."

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks a lot

Martin

PS: I have went through the whole forum and haven't found a post to help me with this, if I missed one, please forgive.

I am having this same "iTunes library already in use or no write-access" issue...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated... Thanks!

check your NAS server (usually an certain IP adress on whatever browser you use) for an option for itunes server settings. on my DNS 323 i have another option in itunes that has my DNS as an available option. only problem with doing it this way is you dont get the coverview and no settings for your files stick every time you select it...
