Forgive me if this is one of those "FAQ" type of questions, but I looked quite a bit and didn't see anything that applies to my situation. I have a MBP and had my entire iTunes library on the local hard drive until recently when I upgraded to an 80GB SSD, and decided to move the library to a network share. I followed instructions linked off this site and Apple's and have successfully moved the music folder to a network share (keeping the actual library local) and everything works fine, however I noticed a peculiar issue when I went to re-sync my iPhone: I use the "Sync only checked songs" feature, so when I went to start picking what I wanted, I noticed that every time I clicked the check box next to a song, it took literally 3 seconds for it to "register" the selection. This happens with every song, no matter what format, when it was added, etc. I've tried this both wirelessly and over gigabit ethernet with the same effect. It is also cumulative: if I CMD-select, say, 10 songs and click "Check selected", it takes 30 seconds, during which iTunes gets a beachball. Eventually it will recover, but this is making it pretty inconvenient to manage large amounts of songs. Has anyone else had this experience?
