I decided to save space on my MBP hard drive and move my iTunes library to my time capsule. I have not deleted the original iTunes library because I wanted to make sure everything worked well. I ran into a problem where iTunes would revert to the default library location. When this happened I switched it back to the time capsule and consolidated the library. Somehow in this process i have created duplicates of most of the songs on the time capsule.
Unfortunately the library switched back to the default location again, I didn't realize it and have now added new music and movies. I've given up on storing the library on the time capsule.
Here is where I need help. My the library on the internal hard drive has all the correct files but iTunes is still pointing to the files on the time capsule even though the library location is set to the internal hard drive. How do I get iTunes to use the music on the internal hard drive again without copy everything over from the time capsule and duplicating everything?
Thanks for any help!
