iTunes Library Recovery

Hi,

I just got a new iMac and I would like to somehow recover my entire iTunes library with my playlists, apps, and etc. intact...

I have all my iTunes media in an external hard drive and I was wondering if it was possible for me to get everything from there and make them all reappear in iTunes while still using the same location folder.
