itunes library sharing between windows and mac

I share my iTunes library with computers on my network, the library is on a Windows Vista computer on an external hard drive. All my computers can see the library in iTunes except my old iBook g3 with 10.4.11. The "looked for shared libraries" is checked. The itunes on windows vista can pick up the ibook library, which has nothing in it, but the ibook can not pick up the windows library.

I remember it used to show up but I never needed it but now when I do want it on my ibook I can't get it to work.

Any help?
