iTunes Library x 2?

I have all my music on an extrernal HD, cause it's not enough space for it in my PB. But it would be nice to have a couple of gigs with my favorite music on the PB as well. Is there any way this can be done (without having to use another mediaplayer or anything like that)?

You could change the place that iTunes manages your music to being back on your PowerBook. Aslong as you don't click 'Consolidate' in the menu all your existing music would stay on the External HD, whilst new stuff would be placed on your 'Book.

Or you could turn of the managing music thing completely and just copy stuff where you wanted.

But it is icky, I'll give you that. It'd be nice if there was a simple way to do it - I'm not aware of one
