Hello All,

A bit of an odd problem. A relative's iPod touch (1st gen, fully updated) is suddenly having problems downloading apps. Really, the trouble is that she is unable to sign into her iTunes account. When the password dialog pops up, she cannot effectively 'click' OK or CANCEL, meaning that tapping them does not do anything.

The app is not completely frozen… she can still type and delete characters in the password field, but without being able to say OK or CANCEL, the only thing to do is to exit via the home button.

This happens at least with the App Store and in the store settings portion where you want to view your itunes accout.

She went to the apple store, and the genius there did not know what to make of it. The only suggestion was to restore it, which she did, but the problem is still there. I also had her try to do a full power-down, but that didn't do anything either.

She isn't completely at a loss… she can still download apps and other goodies on the computer in iTunes, and sync it over, but that is somewhat cumbersome.

Does anyone have any ideas about what we can try next?

Cheers,

DCBass
