I try to keep limited lossless music in my Itunes library, mainly for my late cd's and things I listen to a lot.
I sync this up to my 80gb ipod for playing in the car but would like to also sync up my favourite albums to my iphone.
The problem I have is that I really dont want to sync them across as lossless music files to the iphone as it soon eats up all available space. There is an option when I sync lossless files to my shuffle that enables you to have them converted down to 128k automatically.
Is there any way of having this for the iphone?

At the moment the only way I can see this working is to recode all my lossless music to 128k and then have 2 sets of the same album and only sync the 128k music to my iphone but I really didnt want to do this.

Any ideas?
