Itunes making duplicates when importing..

Sometimes when I drag a group of MP3s to iTunes it makes 2-4 copies of each track.

File> Show Duplicates. Remove them manually after that.

if you drag a playlist file, *.m3u, it will make a copy for each track in the playlist.

Oh I see. If there's a playlist file would it probably best to just drag that, and not the individual tracks?

Also sometimes the songs of one album end up in different places, if I dragged the playlist file to iTunes would it still import all the songs?
