iTunes Match and Artist Artwork on iPad

I just subscribed to iTunes Match last week, and went through the fairly exhaustive task of fixing all my artwork for albums that didn't display artwork on the Albums tab of the iPod app. However, on the Artists tab, most of the artists don't have any artwork, despite the fact that every single album has artwork. Clicking on the artist shows all their albums with artwork.

Has anyone been able to resolve this issue or have a workaround?

Happens often with both my iPad 2 and iPhone 4s. It looks like a bug. Sometimes the artwork shows other times it doesn't. Hit or miss for the most part.
