I just got an email from apple that they are rolling out iTunes match to developers, and who evere subscribes gets 3 extra months for free.

Just got the e-mail too. I'm debating whether I want to do it or not. Not sure of the added benefits of iTunes Match.

It's true, I got one too, just a few minutes ago. It's so new, blogs haven't been able to write about it yet.

I just got the same email. Makes me nervous cause they tell you to backup your music because match will clear out your songs periodically during the beta

It won't clear out your local copy, only the matched library in the cloud.

Right, it says do not delete local copy and think your music is safe in the cloud.

I don't know what anyone would, it is a beta. Things get wiped all the time, or at least have a very good chance to be. Would be silly to delete your local copy.

I prolly won't try it out until it becomes available to everyone.
