I have a question about iTunes Match.

I had iTunes scan my media library in order to set up match but I had more then 25,000 songs so I couldn't set it up.

Today, I deleted some play lists so my media library should be less than 25,000. But every time I try to enable Match it says I have too many songs. Is there a way to reinitiate a media library scan to set up Match?

Thanks in advance,

Jim

Deleting the playlists doesn't delete the songs from your library. You have to go into the Library part of iTunes and delete the songs from iTunes and then they won't count.

In iTunes go to Music and highlight the desired songs and press Delete (Windows). iTunes asks if you want to move the file to the recycle bin (again Windows). So you may remove it from iTunes or delete if off your computer entirely.

Got it. If I exported my playlists and then deleted all the music from iTunes without removing it from the computer, would I be able to re-add the playlists without having to recreate them from scratch?
