So this wasn't exactly a planned migration.

I just got a macbook air and my PC HDD crashed so I decided it was a good time to move all my things to OSX.

I have a backup of all my music in itunes consolidated files. I transfered these to my Mac and everything shows up fine (playlists, playcounts, etc.)

The issue I'm having is I want to sync my iPhone to the Mac. I can do this but iTines wants to recopy all my music to the iPhone. Can I just have it not know the difference?

I also see my applications but I don't have the backup from my iPhone from windows (HDD failure...). If I choose to just let iTunes recopy everything will it preserve my settings?

What can I do to get these things into OSX. I'm most concerned about my app SETTINGS and the like.

Thoughts?
