Hi,

I am hoping somebody can help me with this because in the past moving my iTunes library caused a lot of problems. I have searched the threads but I haven't found any recent discussions about this.

So here is the story... I want to move/copy my iTunes library to my Mac Mini which serves as my media center. The library is roughly 300 gig of organized music (playlists --> Playlist folders) that I wish to keep organized :). The library is now located on the internal drive of the iMac and I wish to copy it to a Drobo which is hooked up to the Mac Mini while retaining my playlists, ratings etc.

Thanks in advance!

copy the entire iTunes folder (not just the iTunes media (or music) folder) from the iMac to the drobo. connect the drobo to the Mini and launch iTunes while holding the option key. when prompted, click on choose library and select the iTunes folder on the drobo.
