iTunes: moved Library outside of app- won't see it now

Ok, I know you can change the location of the library inside the app itself, but the library was too large for my new SSD so I excluded it from the Time Machine backup I used to restore everything to the new drive.

Now even when I change the Library over to the second (old) drive it doesn't see any of the music....

Anything I should try?

Edit: I should say, when I change the "iTunes Media folder" location in preferences, it doesn't see any of the media.
