Here is a user scenario Apple ignored or was forced to ignore it due to the movie industry.
I decided I wanted to watch a movie on my flight from Detroit to Seattle. So I downloaded the movie completely a couple days before my flight. (I now have 29 days to start watching it)
So I opened up my laptop on the plane, and went to go watch the movie, but I needed network access to authorize to watch it! I understand they want the rental model to be secure, but how far do they have to go? This killed my experience.
