It was September 12, 2006 that Apple started selling movies in the US. 2006... We were promised movies in the UK in a matter of months, but we're now into years and still no sign of a single movie, rental or permanent purchase, on any other than the US iTS.

So, well, anyone got any ideas on when we will get em'?

We've slowly got TV Shows as of lat month only a few find.

If you want all the stuff on US iTunes get a US Gift Card from eBay if you want help setting up just ask (PM)

That's not really the point. WHY NO MOVIES OUTSIDE US?

Simple answer: Copyright Laws restrict where and sometimes how movies are sold

I'd say it's less about copyright laws and more a mix of how studios choose to distribute their works via their own policies and how even they're restricted by distribution agreements already in place with content makers and other distribution channels (ie: DVD sell-through / rental and Pay Per View / on-demand providers, etc).

Even once that's all agreed upon, then they hit local regulations. Such as taxes, and local content / language regulations (as is often the killer in Canada, for example).

Either way, we have no control over it as consumers.
