Hey guys I was looking through finder and I noticed something. I saw that Itunes had copied my music files even though I already have a music folder. I was wondering if they copied all my music and is it ok to delete my music folder? Does Itunes require my music folder at all? Is it just taking up space?

Sounds like you have the option to 'copy files to iTunes Music folder when adding to library" enabled.

If this is the case, and you added your entire music folder, then yeah, it should be perfectly safe to delete it.

If you haven't made any changes to the iTunes music folder yet, then you could always remove all your songs from iTunes, then re-import them, making sure to select your entire music folder. Then you'll know for sure that they were all imported.
