Well I have been thinking of making an iTunes Music Server.
Mainly so I can have all my music in one central location. My goal is to just be able to put my ipod in its dock and sync it up with whatever i want to directly from the iTunes music server. Also, I would like to get an airport express and stream that music to the home stero.
I have looked a few things that might work:
Option 1: Linux box as iTunes Music Server
Option 2: Linksys NAS USB2.0 Network Attached Storage Link for around 100 bucks. There is talk of hacking into this thing and turning it into an iTunes Music Server.
Some of the questions I have is, can I sync my ipod with and smb mounted drive? Anything else anyone would like to contribute.
