iPod touch Itunes my default MP3 player - I don't want this

After installing the newest version of Itunes all the mp3 files on my desktop now play in Itunes when I click them.

I want them to play in Windows Media Player.

I changed the properties in Windows Media Player (file types) to play all MP3 files but they still open in Itunes.

Ideas on how to fix this?

browse to a mp3 file in windows explorer... right click on it... click "open with"... select WMP... check "always use this program for this type of file"

On vista you go

start > default programs > set default programs, then select Windows media player as default.

On XP it will be something similar, probably via control panel.

For XP, you can use the first poster's method or go Start -> Set Program Access and Defaults.
