So Cal
I have tried the 'add to the library' function, as well as dragging music folders from the 'finder' window into iTunes, but it will not bring the music in.

I did this originally, and it added all of my music that were individual songs ... but it didn't add those that were inside folders. Now I'm trying to get all of those songs in folders into iTunes, but nothing is working.

Any ideas?

I'm on an iMac OS X.

Thanks bunches! Jules

What format are the songs in? Are they possibly copy protected?

They're .wma's ... which I thought I read that iTunes will convert them into mp3's when you add them.

I just tried opening one of the folders, and bringing in just one song using the 'add to library' feature ... and that didn't work either. :(

Thanks bunches! Jules

I think (not sure) that only the windows version of iTunes will convert .wma's to mp3.

Hmmm ... well, that would explain it.

Guess I'll just live without those songs ... or, I'll open them in Audacity on the PC, save them as a mp3, and then move them to the Mac. ;)

Thanks and HUGz! Jules

my friend had a simmilar problem when I convinced him to get iTunes so we could share our respective libraries via ourtunes. meh, I think he deleted iTunes after we went our separate ways :(
