iTunes not allowing me to sync all books?

I have 10 items in my book library in iTunes. All PDF files and 3 actual books. I'm trying to sync all of them to my iPad 2 but iTunes is only allowing me to sync the actual books; the PDFs are not showing up under the "Books" tab when looking at my iPad in iTunes.

Does anyone know why this is?

Edit: Disregard this, I opened the books app on my iPad and it seems to have corrected the issue. Strange.
