I'm having the problem where itunes will not move files to trash upon delete. i've tried the apple + delete fix; didn't work. i've tried resetting dialog warnings, and that didn't work either. basically, the dialog box with the "move to trash", etc will not come up. i don't think it has anything to do with letting itunes organize my music, because i've never let it do that. it was working fine for me yesterday, and the only thing i've done today was a software update.

any help would be appreciated

still can't figure this out, it's like the dialog box disappeared or something... pretty weird

Apple's documentation for iTunes states that iTunes only deletes or moves files to the recycle bin that are within it's iTunes folder.

Therefore as my previous post states, I do not believe you have a problem.

so i got it fixed, for whatever reason when i restarted my macbook, the dialog box started coming up again. definently very weird
